Type two
Virtue
In Enneagram theory, the virtue of Type 2, also known as the Helper or the Giver, is often described as humility. Type 2s may be highly attuned to the needs and emotions of others, and may struggle with feeling needed or appreciated.
The virtue of humility for Type 2s involves recognizing and honoring their own needs and boundaries, and cultivating a greater sense of self-awareness and self-care. Type 2s who embrace humility are able to offer their help and support to others from a place of groundedness and authenticity, rather than seeking validation or approval. They are able to recognize the value of their own contributions, while also recognizing the value and worth of others, without feeling a need to always be in a position of giving or serving.
Humility can also involve recognizing and embracing the imperfections and vulnerabilities of oneself and others, and acknowledging that no one person has all the answers or solutions. Type 2s who cultivate humility are able to be more present and connected in their relationships and interactions, and are able to offer their help and support in a way that is truly meaningful and authentic.
It is important for Type 2s to recognize and embrace their own virtue of humility, and to cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness and self-care. This may involve learning to set boundaries and assert their own needs and desires, practicing self-validation and self-compassion, and developing a more balanced and grounded approach to their own relationships and interactions. By embracing their own virtue of humility, Type 2s can overcome their tendency towards pride and achieve greater fulfillment and satisfaction in their own lives and relationships.
