Type Three
INSTIncTS
The Enneagram Type 3 personality, also known as "The Achiever," has three different instinctual subtypes or variants: self-preservation, social, and sexual.
Self-Preservation Threes: These Threes are focused on their own physical well-being and security. They are often very driven to succeed and may be very goal-oriented, but they may also prioritize self-care and making sure that their basic needs are met. They may be very organized and efficient in managing their time and resources, and may feel most comfortable in stable and predictable environments.
Social Threes: These Threes are focused on building and maintaining relationships within their community or social group. They are often very charming and charismatic, and may be skilled at networking and self-promotion. They may also be very competitive and focused on achieving recognition and status within their social circle or industry.
Sexual Threes: These Threes are focused on building intense connections with others. They may be very passionate and intense in their romantic relationships, and may seek out partners who are similarly driven and ambitious. They may also be very focused on physical appearance and sexual attraction, and may use sex as a way of expressing their confidence and self-assurance.
It's important to note that these instinctual subtypes are not mutually exclusive, and many people may have elements of all three subtypes in their personality. Understanding your dominant subtype can help you better understand your motivations and behaviors, and can also help you develop healthier relationships with others.
