Type three
Virtue
In Enneagram theory, the virtue of Type 3, also known as the Achiever or the Performer, is often described as authenticity or truthfulness. Type 3s may be highly focused on achieving success or recognition, and may struggle with feeling like they need to present a polished or idealized image of themselves to others.
The virtue of authenticity for Type 3s involves embracing their true selves and letting go of the need for external validation or approval. Type 3s who embrace authenticity are able to be more grounded and present in their relationships and interactions, and are able to offer their talents and skills in a way that is truly genuine and meaningful. They are able to recognize and honor their own desires and values, while also remaining open to the perspectives and experiences of others.
Authenticity can also involve a willingness to acknowledge and accept one's own vulnerabilities and limitations, and to recognize that success is not always measured by external achievements or recognition. Type 3s who cultivate authenticity are able to find a greater sense of fulfillment and satisfaction in their own lives and relationships, by staying true to their own values and desires rather than seeking external validation.
It is important for Type 3s to recognize and embrace their own virtue of authenticity, and to cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness and self-reflection. This may involve learning to let go of the need for external validation, practicing self-validation and self-compassion, and developing a more balanced and authentic approach to their own relationships and interactions. By embracing their own virtue of authenticity, Type 3s can overcome their tendency towards deceit and achieve greater fulfillment and satisfaction in their own lives and relationships.
