Type five
INSTIncTS
The Enneagram Type 5 personality, also known as "The Investigator," has three different instinctual subtypes or variants: self-preservation, social, and sexual.
Self-Preservation Fives: These Fives are focused on their own physical well-being and security. They may be very cautious and reserved, and may prioritize having a secure and stable environment. They may also be very knowledgeable and informed about their interests and hobbies, and may enjoy spending time alone researching and learning about new topics.
Social Fives: These Fives are focused on building and maintaining relationships within their community or social group. They may be very observant and analytical, and may use their knowledge and expertise to help others. They may also be very concerned about social issues and may want to use their skills and knowledge to make a positive impact in their community.
Sexual Fives: These Fives are focused on building intense and passionate connections with others. They may be very reserved and private about their emotions and desires, but may also have intense fantasies and desires that they may only share with a trusted partner. They may also be very focused on the physical sensations and experiences of sex, and may use sex as a way of connecting with others on a deep level.
It's important to note that these instinctual subtypes are not mutually exclusive, and many people may have elements of all three subtypes in their personality. Understanding your dominant subtype can help you better understand your motivations and behaviors, and can also help you develop healthier relationships with others.
