Type Seven
STRESS
Type Seven in the Enneagram is typically motivated by a desire for fun, adventure, and new experiences. They enjoy being active, seeking out new opportunities, and avoiding any kind of boredom or routine. When they are under stress, however, they can become scattered and anxious, constantly seeking out distractions to avoid dealing with uncomfortable emotions or situations.
In times of stress, Type Seven may experience increased anxiety, restlessness, and impulsivity. They may engage in self-destructive behaviors or indulge in excessive pleasure-seeking as a means of escape. They may also become overly optimistic or avoidant of negative emotions, denying any problems or difficulties they may be facing.
At their worst, Type Seven may become highly self-centered, insensitive to the needs and feelings of others, and prone to impulsivity and recklessness. They may struggle to stay focused or committed to any one thing, constantly seeking out new experiences without ever feeling satisfied or fulfilled. It is important for Type Seven to develop healthy coping mechanisms and learn to face their emotions and problems directly in order to avoid being consumed by stress.
