Type Nine
INSTIncTS
The Enneagram Type 9 personality, also known as "The Peacemaker," has three different instinctual subtypes or variants: self-preservation, social, and sexual.
Self-Preservation Nines: These Nines are focused on their own physical well-being and security. They may be very relaxed and laid-back, but they may also prioritize taking care of their own needs and creating a comfortable and stable environment for themselves. They may also be very skilled at managing their resources and finances.
Social Nines: These Nines are focused on building and maintaining relationships within their community or social group. They may be very adaptable and easy-going, and may prioritize group harmony and consensus over their own individual needs. They may also be very concerned about social justice and may want to use their influence and connections to promote fairness and equality.
Sexual Nines: These Nines are focused on building intimate connections with others. They may be very attentive and sensitive to their partner's needs, and may prioritize emotional intimacy over physical intimacy. They may also be very focused on their own desires and fantasies, and may use sex as a way of expressing their sense of connection and belonging.
It's important to note that these instinctual subtypes are not mutually exclusive, and many people may have elements of all three subtypes in their personality. Understanding your dominant subtype can help you better understand your motivations and behaviors, and can also help you develop healthier relationships with others.
