Type nine

Virtue

In Enneagram theory, the virtue of Type 9, also known as the Peacemaker or the Mediator, is often described as action or right action. Type 9s may be highly focused on maintaining harmony and avoiding conflict, and may struggle with feelings of disconnection or passivity.

The virtue of action for Type 9s involves cultivating a greater sense of purpose and direction, and learning to take decisive action in pursuit of their goals and values. Type 9s who embrace action are able to navigate the complexities and challenges of life with greater clarity and focus, and are able to form deeper and more meaningful connections with others.

Action can also involve a willingness to take responsibility for one's own choices and decisions, and to embrace the full range of one's own experiences and emotions. Type 9s who cultivate action are able to find a greater sense of inner peace and fulfillment, by recognizing and honoring their own needs and values.

It is important for Type 9s to recognize and embrace their own virtue of action, and to cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness and purpose. This may involve learning to challenge their own tendencies towards avoidance or indecision, practicing assertiveness and self-expression in their relationships, and developing a more focused and intentional approach to their own experiences and goals. By embracing their own virtue of action, Type 9s can overcome their tendency towards complacency and achieve greater fulfillment and satisfaction in their own lives and relationships.
